Advertisement structure for calendar year 2010
Maharashtra Mandal of Chicago (MMC) is a non-profit organization of the large, expatriate maharashtrian community who live in Chicago-land and surrounding towns. MMC, was established in 1969, enjoys popular support of over 1000 members and organizes several traditional maharashtrian festivals each year. This serves as a platform for the community to get together, celebrate and bring out the spirit and tradition of the great state of Maharashtra. MMC is also the founder member of Brihan Maharashtra Mandal (
www. bmmonline.org).
Every MMC organized event for year 2010 will have a keynote event (stage play/ music performance or similar) and followed by a meal. An average past trans-generational attendance of 250 people is a good indicator of the popularity of the events.
The keynote events are typically performances by widely recognized artists/ groups visiting from India or local talent from the USA.
